Hand open, chrome-plated steel frame. The hilt and the head arched. Wooden shaft painted black. On the outer side, under the head, an inlaid circular seal in which are inscribed gilded letters "SS" in the form of lightning bolts, below which is embedded the national emblem. The bones of the head are inlaid throughout. On the outer side the inscription "Maine Ehre heisst Treue", on the inner side "In herzlicher Freundschaft Ernst Rohm". At the base the signature "ROBERT KLAAS/SOLINGEN". P o c h w a metal painted black. Fittings - neck and shank - chrome plated. One screw missing at the neck.
