The broad slightly curved blade with a wide cut and a marked dorsal edge is blued at the top and decorated on one side with an etched double cross and with a now illegible inscription. The gilt silver hilt with engraved and embossed decoration with a cross guard is inspired by Turkish sabres. The wooden scabbard is covered with double silver gilt plate, pierced on the visible side. Engraved decoration on both sides, old repairs. Housed in an original leather case bearing the Esterházy family coat of arms on one side. Austria, later 2nd half of the 17th century, length 102 cm.
