Serial number 200 (identical on the visor and frame). Eight-inch rifled barrel in .41 Volcanic calibre, octagonal to cylindrical in the chamber area, sights. Above the chamber, the barrel is marked in three lines "SMITH & WESSON"/"CAST-STEEL PATENT"/"NORWICH. CT." This example is decorated on the frame with the factory engraving of the ripples. Numbered "200" on the left side of the frame below the handle stem. Less than 500 examples of this model were produced between 1854 and 1855. United States, 1854, length 36 cm. Condition 2+

CT." This example has attractive factory scroll engraving on the frame and "200" on the left side of the grip frame under the grip. Less than 500 of the No. 2 pistols were manufactured in 1854-1855.
