The octagonal smooth bore barrel of 14 mm calibre is marked "Scherrer in Linz", the brass fly is sliding in the herringbone, the tongue of the bottom bolt marked with the number "2" is decorated with engraved ripples as well as the bottom bolt, the percussion lock is decorated with a similar engraving. Semi-holstered, walnut stock, fore-stock with a small crack, handle roughened with herringbone. Steel fittings, engraved. Austria, Linz around 1840, length 38 cm. Steel parts with remnants of original browning. Wolfgang Scherrer commemorated in Linz from 1814, died 1848. Condition 2+
