Hand closed, brass binding. Tailpiece sigmoidal, shield-cocked. Hinged inner shield, with a hole for locking the saber in the scabbard. Outer shield also hinged, decorated with floral motif and anchor. The front arm of the hilt is richly decorated, arched, tapering towards the head and connected to the hilt with a hilt pin. Shank of ivory-colored pulp, cross-grooved and wrapped with three brass filigrees. A long hood in the form of a lion's head, attached at the bottom together with the shaft in a decorative ring, riveted at the top with the mandrel of the head. The steel head, polished, with a slight curvature, wedge-shaped in cross-section. The back is round. Long double-edged feather with a bony point. The hilt is symmetrical. On the inner lobe, under the hilt, the maker's signature - in an oval "F.W. Holler Solingen". The butt is wooden, trimmed with black leather. Brass fittings. Neck with catching spike and link with movable spike on the back. Below, a wide riffle with a second spike. The scabbard ends in a high buttstock with an asymmetrical spur. All fittings decoratively cut, covered with engraved ornaments. By the saber an officer's Austrian sling, which may indicate that the saber was on the equipment of a senior officer of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
