Polish Kevlar Helmet wz.2005 by Maskpol in British MK6 cover in Multi-Terrain camouflage. The helmet is signed "(audi mark) V8, JANUSZ BLACK DEVILS". On the bolster at the back signed in cyrillic "8PDR", probably the 8th Diversion and Reconnaissance Regiment (?). There are several shrapnel pieces resting in the helmet.
The helmet was sent in 2022 as part of Polish humanitarian aid to Ukraine. It fulfilled its function by protecting the owner from shrapnel.
Donated in September 2022 by soldiers of the 93rd Brigade of Kholodnyy Yar to the Ukrainian Army in Bakhmut together with captured Russian equipment. The guys asked to salute Janusz assuming that the person in the signature is the previous owner who donated the helmet to them.
