Steel, bronze and brass gilt, horn; engravings; head length 85 cm, curvature ca 5 cm, overall length 98 cm.
France, late 18th and early 19th century (in oriental type after Napoleon's campaign in Egypt).
Steel head, mediocrely curved, forged into a wedge, ending in the so-called "pandurspitz", with a splayed back and engravings in the pledge part on both lobes - with the motif of panoplies, crescent and sun. At the top, under the hilt, an engraving with a Turk's head against the background of a tent.
Crossed, carbuncle, gilded, with mace at the ends of the arms.
Handle in horn facings, riveted five times; the strip covering the joints of the facings is gilded, decorated with a diamond motif. Bird's head, with a hole - "eye" for a sling.
