Hand closed, steel frame. Basket hilt, carved from a sheet metal flap, perforated with geometric clearances and the Prussian emblem on the outer side. In the upper part of the basket a slot for a sling. Handle shaft of bronze stock, transversely notched, with additional finger projection, attached to the shaft with two transverse rivets, the bottom gripped in a ring. Short cap fixed with a nut on the mandrel. On the rear arm of the hilt an inscribed military numerator. The blade is polished steel, straight, with a "feather" cut. Flat, wedge-shaped lobes, the ridge of circular cross-section. A double-edged tongue with a boney, symmetrical hilt. On the inner amphibian, under the cap, the maker's signature "WEYERSBERG/KIRSCHBAUM & CE/SOLINGEN". On the back a gothic letter, the year "91" (acceptance into the army) and a letter topped with a crown. P o c h w a steel, with a single riffle with a fixed collar and an entablature on the inside of the ring. The neck is attached to the scabbard sheath with two screws. The spur is asymmetrical. Under the neck, on the inner side, a military numerator is scored.
