Cap gun

from the time of the January Uprising, made from elements of a rock pistol by an insurgent gunsmith's workshop
steel, walnut wood, brass; barrel length with mustache 21.6 cm; overall length 32 cm.
France?, early 19th century and Poland, 1860s.
Steel barrel, smooth, round, 8-groove in the bottom part, separated by an engraved band. Walnut bed, long, smooth flask; brass-coated head, oval, decorated with radial grooves. Also made of brass are the trigger guard and a wide lug at the mouth of the barrel, reinforcing the joint with the bed.
