Description

Under the head, on the handle grip, stamped Polish bayonet pattern designation: WZ. 86/93.

French bayonets wz. 1886/93/16 arrived in Poland in 1918 with General J. Haller's Blue Army, which was armed with Lebel rifles wz. 1886/93/16. During the 1920 Polish-Bolshevik War, a significant number of Lebel rifles, improved during World War I, marked as wz. 1886/93/16, were purchased in France along with bayonets.
