Brass handle with a spun head and fifteen transverse notches on both sides. The handle is attached to the shank with a steel rivet and by sealing the shank on the head. In the dorsal part, a guide with a spring-loaded catch. A steel stag, with the front arm strongly bent towards the head. The rear arm is a ring for the insertion of the barrel of the Chassepot rifle and others. On the inside of the deerstick a beaten acceptance punch and a military numerator. The jatagan-type steel hilt, profiled on both sides into a single wide medial furrow, reaching a short double-edged pen. The buttstock is adpressed. On the outer sill a beaten signature of the controller. On the spine the inscription "Y. Funcke &Co Herdecke Janer 1868". P o c h w a steel, with numbering on the neck. The catching entablature is missing. Scabbard ended with a knob.
