Ashigaru Dakizumo armor from the Edo period

add Your note
Lot description Show orginal version
Ashigaru's armor fits perfectly into the history of light-legged troops. It was made in the 19th century. The Do armor is of the Okashi Gosoku type, which means combat/used type. This determines the function of the armor, which is confirmed by the inventory numbers on the inside of the armor and the presence of large Dakizumo mones painted on the iron Jingas, main armor and Bitsu chest. The armor was likely used by a special police unit during the Edo period. The armor also has shoulder pads and shin guards.
