A Sabre for Grenadiers of a Cuirassier Regiments

Wide blade with cut-out extending almost to the dorsal tip, dorsal blade approx. 18 cm long. Etched decoration on both sides at the top (sun, crescent moon, stars and trophies). The hilt brass, the arch of the basket passes at right angles into a cross-guard terminating in an olive, one lateral tendril with a shell guard, the thumb rest, the back solid. Etched decoration at the base on both sides (sun, crescent moon, stars and trophies). Brass hilt, a "stirrup" style cross guard, quillons ending in an olive, side guard with shell guard and thumb ring, full grip cap, the grip wood covered with black leather, attached with a brass wire.
