Original Adrian M15 helmet with metal emblem dedicated to the Polish Rifle Squads in Haller's Army. This model, originally designed in France in 1915, was widely used by the Polish Army, particularly by General Jozef Haller's Blue Army.
A distinctive feature of the helmet is an embossed emblem with a rifleman's eagle embedded in a trumpet, which was used by rifleman units. This type of eagle is described in Tomasz Zawistowski's publication "Polish Eagles for Caps in 1917-1919" (page 129, illustration 247).
The helmet was made of steel painted dark blue, and it also retains the original leather chin strap and leather interior. The eagle cap is an original period piece, but it is impossible to determine clearly when it was mounted on the helmet.
