Sweden Medal 1836 issued on the occasion of Prince Karl's first visit to Skane on 1 August 1836; engraved by Lundgren. Karl XV (1859-1872). Obverse: Bust of the young (10-year-old) Prince Charles (XV) with bare neck and unfolded lace collar and the inscription 'CAROLUS LUD EUG PR HAER SV ET NORV DUX SCANIAE' below the engraver's name 'LUNDGREN F'. Reverse: The coat of arms of the province of Skåne under a ducal crown and the coats of arms of nine Scanian cities under crowns, set in a circle. In the circumscription 'NE CAREAT PULCHRA DIES NOTA'. In the Center 'D. I AUGUSTI MDCCCXXXVI' and at the bottom of the cutout 'DUCE PROVINC PTIMUM INVI-SENATE CIVES URB SCAN GRATULAB'. Silver. Weight approx: 45.82g. Diameter: 43 mm
