The maker of the series of 47 medals from the Swedish royal series was Swiss-born engraver Johann Carl Hedlinger. King Charles XII of Sweden brought him to Stockholm and employed him at the royal mint, where he stayed from 1718 to 1745. During his sojourn in the Kingdom of Sweden, the beginnings of the series of the aforementioned medals were created. The last numismat was published in 1842, and Hedlinger's work was continued by his pupil Daniel Fehrmann and then his son Carl Gustav Fehrmann.
According to the numbering stamped on the medal, this is the 47th numismat in the series. A rarer print in silver.
