Bronislaw Chromy, a Cracow sculptor and medalist, a student of Xawery Dunikowski appreciated both abroad and in his native country.
Author of the Wawel Dragon Monument in Cracow (and many others), professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, co-founder of Piwnica pod Baranami, recipient of many awards and decorations including the Order of Polonia Restituta. Chromy's works are known for their expressive forms with an elaborate layer of meaning with a deep symbolic message. They can be found in the collections of many Polish museums including the National Museum in Cracow and the National Museum in Warsaw. His sculptures and monuments are a permanent part of the map of Krakow ("Fountain of the Players" in Wolnica Square, "Owls" in Planty and many others).
