Germany, World War I, Medal minted on the occasion of the death of aviator Manfred Richthofen, Wrong date of death.

DESTINATION: erroneously minted date of death April 12 (instead of 21).

Creator of the medal - Karl Goetz (1875-1950).

Medal commemorating the death of World War I German aviation ace, born in Borek near Breslau, Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen, who is credited with 80 downings of enemy aircraft during the war.

The medal was made at the Munich Mint, sig. on the reverse Goetz and on the wound Bayerische Hauptmunzamt

pure silver, weight 19.65 grams, diameter 36.8 mm
