Medal honoring the election of August III as king of Poland in 1733.
An exquisitely preserved medal. Untouched relief, medal mirror, with only minor rubbing. Beautiful.

Obverse: bust with hair loose, face seen from the right. In the rim: D[ei] G[ratia] AUGUSTVS III REX POL[oniae] ET EL[ector] SAX[oniae] (By God's grace August III King of Poland and Elector of Saxony).
Reverse: a figure holding a pomegranate fruit in his right hand and in his left hand a shield with the Polish and Lithuanian coats of arms, at his side an eagle holding a crown over an elector's mitre, which lies on a pedestal. Inscription at the top: AVCTA AVGVSTI FELICITAS. (Multiplied happiness of Augustus). In the section the year MDCCXXXIII.
