Extremely rare medal struck to commemorate the death of Augustus II the Strong in 1733.
The medal is by Peter Paul Werner and Daniel Sievert, signed.
We have reached, only one listing of this medal from the 1999 WCN auction, where it was sold for the then very high amount of 2,996 PLN.
A piece moved by circulation, but with such great rarity, desirable in any state of preservation.
The opportunity to acquire this item may not be repeated for many years to come.
Highly recommended!
