On the obverse, figures of a peasant with a scythe and a nobleman in a fraternal handshake, probably referring to the enfranchisement of peasants and their participation in the January Uprising. In the rim, the date 1863 in Roman notation MDCCCLXIII. Below, in the segment, the sgnature CH. WIENER.
On the reverse, a three-field shield with the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania and Ruthenia in the January Uprising arrangement. In the rim Equality ✶ FREEDOM ✶ INDEPENDENCE.

Preserved in issue condition, with natural soiling and unstained dusty drawer ageing.
