A very rare, virtually uncommon medal issued on the occasion of the inauguration of the Royal Technical University in Danzig in 1904.
Item in beautiful Art Nouveau style issued according to the design of sculptor Walter Schmarje.
Obverse: a thoughtful technician on a chair, with port equipment and ships in the background;
Reverse: between two flames: ZVR WEIHE/DER/TECHNISCHEN/HOCHSCHVLE/IN DANZIG, on the sides date OCT. 1904;
Patinated bronze, diameter 60 mm, weight 95.82 g.
