oak, pine, glass, brass, 187.5 x 126 x 50.5 cm.
Western Europe (Belgium?), 1st quarter of the 20th century.
Perpendicular, topped with a prominent molded cornice, two-winged, with a deep drawer at the bottom and a pedestal moulding, supported on four ball-shaped feet. The division of the front imitates the division into two wings of equal size with a centrally placed narrow panel. Door wings of different widths, the left one wider than the right one, covering the wing and the center panel. The wings are of frame construction with panels of wavy outline, full intarsia at the bottom, glazed with stained glass with floral motifs at the top, additionally decorated in the middle at the bottom with fittings of repoussed brass sheet. On the full panels inlaid views of the suburban countryside, on the left on the hill a church, on the right a windmill. Inside the body three shelves.
The closet could have served both, as a sideboard cabinet, a library or a linen closet.
