General panorama of the city published in Paris by François Jollain at the turn of the 17th/18th century. At the bottom of the engraving, Latin and French text and publisher's note: "Se vendent à Paris chez Jollain rue S. Jacques à la ville de Cologne". The engraving repeats the view of Cracow according to G. Braun and F. Hogenberg with the staffage slightly changed. On the background of the sky above the ribbon with the inscription "Cracovie" the coat of arms with the Eagle of the Republic in the center, next to the coat of arms of the Sforza family, further the coat of arms of Lithuania and the coats of arms of Krakow, Kazimierz and Kleparz. Under the view explanatory texts in Latin and French. Very good condition. Framed in a wooden frame, 60 x 72 cm. Decorative and beautifully colored engraving. Very rare.
