SLĄSK. Map of Silesia; second variant of M. Helwig's map, reworked by A. Ortelius, Antwerp, ca. 1600; among other things, decorative border around the frame was added, the title cartouche was reworked, the cartouche with the scale was placed in the lower right corner; in this form the map was first published in Additamentum (supplement to Theatrum Orbis Terrarum), then included in the atlas proper; on verso, text in Latin: SILESIA; copper. color, st. bdb., minimal edge tears; plate dimensions 422x345 mm; SILESIAE TYPVS A Martino Helwigio Niβense [...].
