Rare 9-sheet map of Polish lands from 1915

A set of 9 lithographed sheets of a map covering almost the entire territory of present-day Poland, published in 1915. The map is a new print (made from the original plates) of Wojciech Chrzanowski's "Charter of old Poland" from 1859. The publisher of the map is the Polish Library in Paris, the sheets were rebound at the firm of A. Challamel. The title of the map, the index of the sheets and the publisher's data are placed on the left margin of the sheets. The titles of the sheets were placed on their upper margin. On the sheet "Polonga" "Lecture of signs". The map consists of the following sheets: Danzig (staining of the right margin), Poznan (minor edge tears, good condition), Kalisz (top corner crease, good condition), Olkusz (ironed top edge creases, taped up tears there), Polonga (staining of the right margin), Königsberg (staining of right margin), Warsaw (slight staining of right margin), Radom (taped tear of upper edge), Cracow (taped tear of lower edge, kinks of horizontal edges). The map covers the area: Lenkimy-Tylicz, Wrocław-Zambrów. rare in the set.
"Central Catalog of Cartographic Collections in Poland" next to the description of Chrzanowski's original map includes a note: "In February 1915, 9 sheets pertaining to the theater of war at that time were lithographically rebounded from the original plates and released to the bookstore [...]. In the collection covered by this catalog there is only the Olkusz sheet from this edition (in the National Library in Warsaw)." (CKZK 5, 133).
