Topographical map published by the K. u. k. Militär-geographisches Institut in Vienna ca. 1905. Map cut down to the frame, publishing data originally placed in the margins (title, scale - 1:200,000, linear scale) pasted on the back. There the ownership stamp of Lt. Wladimir Tyszkiewicz: "Leutnant Wladimir Graf Tyszkiewicz, des Ulanenregimentes Alexander I. Kaiser von Russland Nr. 11" and inventory number. Traces of folding, good condition.
W. Tyszkiewicz (1880-1953) - "a certified colonel of cavalry of the Polish Army [...]. He was an officer of the Imperial and Royal armies. As of November 1, 1906, with the rank of lieutenant of the 11th lancer regiment, he was assigned to the General Staff [...]. As of November 1, 1918, he was accepted into the Polish Army with the rank of major. In the spring of 1919, he became chief of staff of the 4th Infantry Division [...]. Until X 1922, he held the position of chief of staff of Corps District Command No. X in Przemyśl. As of 10 X 1922, he was appointed commander of the 25th Regiment of Greater Poland Lancers in Pruzhany. From 15 I 1925 he served as commander of the 5th Independent Cavalry Brigade in Cracow. In X 1925 he was appointed commander of the 10th Cavalry Brigade in Przemyśl. As of May 31, 1927, he was retired" (Wikipedia). From 1940 he was in exile.
