The central part shows a map of Poland in 1772 (before the 1st partition), on the sides minor maps of Polish lands in the years 1025 (time of Bolesław Chrobry) - 1634 - 1772 (1st partition) - 1793 (2nd partition) - 1795 (3rd partition) - 1807-1809 (Napoleonic wars) - 1815-1831 (Kingdom of Poland).
The p. d. corner also lists the census of Poles at home (under the 3 partitions) and abroad - amounting to more than 24 million people.
Józef Lipkowski (1863-1949) - Polish engineer, inventor, constructor, emigration activist, writer and poet, general of the Polish Army. During the First World War he was an expert on armaments for the French government, also working for Polish independence. in 1917 he became co-founder and first president of the Association of Polish Engineers and Technicians in France. After the war, he was appointed head of the Polish Military Mission. He took part in the Polish-Bolshevik war. He held very important positions in various economic and industrial organizations.
