Imago Pol. K81/1. Map of Poland by Joannes Janssonius first published in 1645. The copy presented here was part of the "Nouvel Atlas, ou Theatre du Monde" (Amsterdam 1652). The title in an ornate cartouche surmounted by the coat of arms of the King. Pol. in the lower left corner. In the lower part of the cartouche a single linear scale. Next to the cartouche two noblemen and a peasant with a sheaf of grain. In the lower right corner, also in the cartouche, the publisher's dedication to the mayor of Gdansk, Mikolaj Pahl. Contemporary line and surface color. On the back, French text "Le Royaume de Pologne", sheet number P. Browning of the sheet in places, small edge tears.
