Biographical note
Waldemar Tłuczek "Waldzior" born in 1958 in Slupsk. He attended the Complex of Art Schools in Gdynia and Tarnow, where he studied, among others, with Prof. Stec , Lebenstein or Drwal, who was a student of X.Dunikowski. During his schooling, his works were exhibited in group exhibitions in Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic.
As is known in the communist era, His youth, the artistic profession was not respected, especially in a small town, only a few were lucky and it was difficult to make a living practicing this profession. When the opportunity arose , he left for Germany and remained there for many years, where I made a living from painting. Due to his father's serious illness, he returned to the country to take care of him. He lived on the money he earned in Germany, then found periodic employment. Among other things, I worked in historical restoration, advertising, as an exhibition decorator and as a freelancer.
From 1988-92 he lived in Düsseldorf, where he made a living from painting; until 2002 he exhibited in galleries in Düsseldorf and Cologne, where he had solo exhibitions. He collaborated with Jerzy Chartowski , also from Slupsk, who still lives in Dusseldorf. There he attended the Kunstschule Dusseldorf as a free student.
In 2003 he won first place in the Polish Teachers' Competition in Tarnow.
From 2010 to 2013 he resided in Oslo, where he collaborated mainly with Stylo Gallery, which resulted in individual exhibitions and contacts with the art community. Information about exhibitions was published in the local newspaper in the Cultural Department.
He personally met well-known Norwegian painters Bjorn Algrim, Sigmund Olsvik and Ida Elisabeth at their atelier, where he became acquainted with their workshop and work.
There he gained recognition with collectors.
In May 2012 he was invited to participate in a group exhibition of paintings during the Days of Polish Culture, organized in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Oslo and the Polish Club.
In 2013, he was invited to participate in the animation rehearsal work for the Breakthrufilms project "My Vincent" in Gdansk.
From 1.12.2015 to 28.02.2016. - Participated in the international project ARTBanking Sbierbank in Kaliningrad entitled: " Fairy tale common cultural heritage " oil painting by Waldemar Tluczek ( Russia).
The exhibition was opened by Svietlana Kondratieva, Minister of Culture of Kaliningrad District, representatives of the local city authorities - S. Yuspin, Deputy Chairman of the Kaliningrad Regional Duma, S. Shamkov, representative of the organizer of the exhibition, representatives of the bank, and Consul for the Promotion of the Republic of Poland Dagmara Lukovic were present.
Information about the exhibition was published on the portal of the Polish Consulate, the Office of the O.K. Ministry of Culture and Sbierbank.
In August 2016, an exhibition was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, at the House of Polish Culture titled: "Native flowers....and childhood memories...", the opening of which was attended, among others, by representatives of the Polish Embassy, authorities of the Union of Poles in Lithuania, cultural representatives, including the well-known painter Czeslaw Polonski, and Vilnius residents.

In 2016, he stood before the commission of the ZPAP in Gdansk and was accepted as a real member of the ZPAP on the basis of his works and verification of his artistic achievements - Leg .no. 21220,
In 2018, he participated in the collective exhibition of ZPAP on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Independence in Gdansk, as one of the hundred artists selected from among the members. The event was attended by the authorities of the city of Gdansk, ZPAP and the Marshal's Office .
In 2020, awarded a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the implementation of the project " Culture on the Web".
In the Museum of Central Pomerania in Slupsk there is an oil painting entitled : "In anticipation of INDEPENDENCE - the year 1918", taking part in the collective exhibition organized by ZPAP in Gdansk on the occasion of regaining independence "Freedom in art - 3 generations" .
September 2020 participation in the exhibition " Idea of freedom and solidarity in painting and graphics" on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Solidarity in Gdansk . The exhibition along with a concert was held at the Academy of Music in Gdansk. The event was attended by the authorities of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the city of Gdansk.
- 2020 became a member of the Association Internationale des Arts Plastiques - leg. no. C 8/2020;
- 2021 became a member of the Euroasian Art Union - leg.
- January 2021- finalist of the competition qualified for the exhibition Biennale of Art 2021 - 46th Winter Salon in Radom - catalog.
- First place in the International Painting Competition in St. Petersburg, project : Woman 2021, nomination : magic realism -Woman and space, diploma. Painting "Power of Woman"" www.женскийобраз.рф. Waldemar Tłuczek 's works have found their way into private collections in Poland and have been purchased in many countries through galleries, exhibitions and personal contact in Russia, Canada, USA, Germany, Holland, France, Austria, Norway, Italy and Lithuania.
In addition to oil paintings, he created sketches, watercolors, pastels, crayon drawings, made stained glass , designed book covers and illustrations. He painted commissioned paintings for hotels and restaurants, as well as copies of the great masters and portraits for private collections.
Since 2011, all events have been documented.
Currently, he is mainly engaged in easel painting, for which he has received many awards in international competitions.
