Władysław Walczak-Baniecki - born April 20, 1934 in Koscielisko, died 2011 in Zakopane. One of the most respected and well-known creators of folk art. At the beginning of his adventure in 1962, he creates works on paper, but quickly masters and refines the technique of painting on glass. Inspired by traditional painting, Walczak-Baniecki turns to Zakopane, Podhale themes. He mainly depicts worldlings, robber scenes or highland folklore. He is distinguished by interesting color combinations in his works, such as browns and greens or reds and ochres. He has exhibited extensively all over the world. Austria, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Canada or the U.S. Walczak-Baniecki's paintings feed numerous private and state collections.
Condition of preservation very good.
