"During his stay in Vellano, Tatarczyk sketches one motif with determination - the corner of the room. The walls and floor converge. Some ants, insects appear. He paints small pictures with this motif. [At the same time, he admits in conversation that he can't cope with the onslaught of nature's exuberance, because he can't stand the color green. He even, he recalled, bought a tube of green paint, but never used it. A few months later, to everyone's surprise, he paints a magnificent Green Meadow."
