Biography
He is considered a master of painting on silk. His work is accompanied by deep philosophical reflection. In 1995 he earned a diploma in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Professor Ryszard Winiarski. After graduation, he continued his academic career by obtaining a doctoral degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and in 2011 received his habilitation from his alma mater in Warsaw. Like his father, a representative of the first generation of the Polish School of Textile Wojciech Sadley, his work explores the possibilities of painting on fabric. Tomasz Sadley's works have been exhibited at the Central Textile Museum in Lodz, the National Museum in Lublin, the Royal Łazienki Museum in Warsaw, the Center for Contemporary Art in Torun, among others.
