Kuran Tomasz "When the clouds descended and the stars appeared Bathsheba was taking a bath".
80x100, acrylic on canvas, 2020
Born in 1972 in Warsaw, Poland. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts - Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. A versatile artist, feeling perfectly at home in the field of drawing, painting, collage. The most important thing for him is color, the dynamics of the image and the action of spots or textures. To achieve this, he often goes beyond the framework of classical painting by combining different techniques, aiming to make the image as interesting, creative as possible, giving the viewer the opportunity for individual interpretation. His paintings are mainly a tangle of emotions more or less filled with feeling, sometimes a game of unspecified characters captured in the moment.
He is an artist whose works are not always easy to accept. His paintings are a rare combination of modernity and religious themes in Polish art, which makes his paintings original and compel thought and conversation.
