The above painting by Tomasz Alen Kopera is a work that captivates with the precision of details and depth of expression. In the center of the composition is a tangled, twisted structure of a dead tree, whose branches resemble hands gently protecting a young flower growing in their heart. This highly evocative motif symbolizes the care, protection and rebirth of life surrounded by the harshness of nature.
The background of the painting shows a rocky, majestic landscape, shrouded in subtle, diffused light. The mountains that surround the main motif enhance the mystical mood of the work. The dominant colors - browns, purples and soft shades of green - bring harmony and tranquility, while emphasizing the contrast between the deadness of the tree and the vitality of the plant.
The composition of the painting seems to remind us of the fragile balance between life and transience. The tangled "hands" of the tree surrounding the flower express care, hope and continuity of existence. This work is full of emotion and deep symbolism, prompting the viewer to reflect on the power of life in the face of nature's inevitable cycles.
TOMASZ ALEN KOPERA, born in 1976 in Kozuchow, is an artist who combines technical precision with deep spirituality and mystery in his work. A graduate of the Wroclaw University of Technology with a degree in civil engineering, Kopera revealed an extraordinary artistic talent at an early age, which he developed over time into a unique painting style. His works, executed mainly with oil paints on canvas, fascinate with both sophisticated technique and emotional depth.
Kopera not only creates images, but also affects the subconscious of the viewer, making him stop and reflect. His art is full of symbolism, dark mysteries and metaphysical messages. The artist draws inspiration from human nature, the surrounding world and the unobvious and unknown. Each painting is a space for contemplation, where the viewer can find his own meanings and emotions.
Kopera's fascination with fire as a symbol of purification, transformation and new beginnings is particularly evident in his works. Fire not only illustrates the power of destruction, but also rebirth, reflecting the artist's vision of the cyclical nature of life. It is these aspects of transformation that Kopera seeks to capture on his canvases, creating works that awaken in viewers the need to ponder existence and the nature of the world.
Tomasz Alen Kopera's creative process is as fascinating as his paintings. The artist avoids sketches, often getting right down to painting on canvas, allowing his visions to evolve as he creates. The initial phase of work, full of concentration and silence, is crucial for him, and the resulting work often deviates from the original concept. Music, an integral part of his work, accompanies the artist at various stages of his work, from classical sounds to heavy, dark genres such as gothic and heavy metal. In this way, Kopera's painting becomes not only a visual expression, but also a multi-sensory experience.
Inherent in Kopera's work is leaving interpretation to the viewer. The artist avoids giving titles to his paintings, believing that each work should speak its own language and its message should be read individually by the viewer. For Kopera, painting is a form of communication that goes beyond words, so his paintings remain open to a variety of interpretations and personal reflections.
Since 2010, Tomasz Alen Kopera has been a member of the Libellule group, founded by Lukas Kandel, which underlines his importance in the international art scene. For more than a decade, the artist lived and worked in Northern Ireland before returning to Poland, where he continues his artistic journey. His works, which are a combination of technical mastery and deep spirituality, are of the highest artistic level, and their uniqueness and universality make Tomasz Alen Kopera one of the most intriguing contemporary painters.
