Note from Stanislaw Fijalkowski's raptuliar:
January 11, 1974 , XV Highway.
I unexpectedly painted Highway XV. At first I wanted to paint another picture. When I drew the first division of the canvas into 4 horizontal stripes with charcoal, I transformed it into a highway. I was fascinated by the possibility of painting a landscape reduced to the limits of an abstract division of the canvas. This time I tried broad brushstrokes, with rather sparse acrylic paint, with laser-like clearances. I am almost entranced by the unexpected form of this naive landscape.
