Zbiok (Slawomir Czajkowski) | In his work Slawomir ZBK/ Zbiok Czajkowski moves in the area of signs and symbols of pop culture, addressing issues of violence, social tensions, intolerance. His works, which derive from the postgraffiti trend, often have pacifist and anarchist overtones. Counted among the most interesting artists of the younger generation, he is one of the world's leading urban art artists. At the center of Tchaikovsky's interest is the human figure, entangled in social antagonisms. The symbolic scenes depicted are often accompanied by abbreviated slogans - cautions or succinct, slang comments with a humorous tinge. For several years, he has been co-creating with Karolina Zajączkowska an artistic duo - a space for experimentation, an art and service body called DWA ZETA. Zbiok's paintings are intense, color-saturated and very dynamic. Zbiok studied graphic design at the Institute of Fine Arts and painting at the Institute of Art and Plastic Culture (now the Institute of Visual Arts UZ) at the University of Zielona Gora - he received his diploma in painting in 2006 in the studio of Professor Ryszard Wozniak. Painter, muralist, illustration artist, initiator and curator (together with Joanna Stembalska) of the international series of exhibitions and activities devoted to art in urban space Out of Sth, held in Wroclaw since 2008, as well as the creator of a documentary film devoted to the Urban Art environment (2011). He is the recipient of prestigious awards in the field of visual arts. He has participated in numerous collective and individual art exhibitions and projects in the country and around the world. His works are in the collections of the most important cultural institutions in the country.
