Piotr Jakubczak, who will celebrate 25 years of creative work this year, was born in Hrubieszow. In the 1990`s he served as director of BWA - City Gallery in Tarnow. Before the year 2000, Piotr emigrated to France and spent the next 10 years there, simultaneously creating and actively participating in various artistic events, including many exhibitions (Nice, Montpellier, Narbonne). Participating in the international painting salon of the C.I.B. ARTIST CLUB in Nice, he won the "Best of the Best" award. He has participated in dozens of individual and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Currently Piotr Jakubczak lives and works in Poland. His works are in private collections at home and abroad, including the Vatican, Japan and the USA. "In Piotr Jakubczak's paintings all elements clash. On the one hand, ecstatic almost delight, complemented by joy and energy, based on the dynamism that stands out in the foreground, and on the other, melancholy, a deep experience of the elusiveness of the world, smoothly passing into tragedy based on the awareness of the fragility of all matter." - excerpt from the review.
