Paulina Taranek, born in Częstochowa, graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. She works in painting and drawing as well as conservation of works of art.
Her works were presented at solo exhibitions in Cracow, Warsaw
and Czestochowa at the BWA Gallery in 2019 exhibition titled "Big City Light," Gallery "Wejściówka"
and at the Gallery under the Arcades.
Participant in group exhibitions in Krakow, Warsaw, Czestochowa, among others, and abroad
in Brussels, Tokyo.
Winner of painting competitions, including the National Geographic art contest "I paint what I see - a symbol of the city in the style of Picasso", in which she created an award-winning interpretation of the symbol of Cracow - "Lajkonik".
The work promoted the National Geographic series "Genius: Picasso" in Poland, starring Antonio Banderas
in the lead role. Scholarship holder of the Erasmus program - Antwerp 2011/2012
and participant of the Second International Symposium Szymbark 2013. awarded by the
Artist Portfolio Magazine USA, California. An article about her painting appeared
in the April 2020 issue of Life is Art Magazine USA, Los Angeles. Placed among the Faces of the Future of Czestochowa in 2020.
