Miroslaw Witold Karapyta - Jaroslaw resident. Born in 1960 in Jaroslaw. He began his artistic education at the Jaroslaw "Plastic", the State High School of Fine Arts. He then continued at the Institute of Artistic Education of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, in the studio of Professor Marian Stelmasik.
In 2002, he earned a doctorate in the sociology of culture at the University of Silesia in Katowice. He worked, as a lecturer at the Faculty of Art at the University of Rzeszow. Currently, as a docent at the State Higher School of Technology and Economics in Jaroslaw.
His artistic achievements include numerous national and international exhibitions. Beginning in 1978, when he won First Prize in painting at the Confrontations of the Artistic Movement of Youth in Myslec nad Poprad, his solo exhibitions were held in Poland, France and Belgium.
