Biography
The artist lives and works in Zawada near Lublin, sometimes in Warsaw. A painter who in 2013 swapped paints for leftover nail polish, which she collects from women. Her abstract paintings consisting of the repetitive gesture of applying nail polish to the canvas, as if on nails, allude to knitting, a repetitive, meditative activity that requires patience. She is a two-time scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, winner of the Geppert Competition (Wroclaw 2013), the Promotion of the Young (Legnica 2012), and a finalist in the Talents of the Three (Warsaw 2014). Her paintings can be found in the PKO Bank Collection, the Art Collection of the European Hotel, or in the collection of the Starak Family Foundation.
