Polish surrealist painter, born in 1960 in Działdów. He lives and creates in Warmia. In the privacy of his studio he paints paintings, the themes of which often go far beyond the boundaries of the human mind. He pours his visions and feelings onto the canvas, playing with light, space, contrast. The works are full of symbols and thought-provoking details, which each viewer has the opportunity to interpret in his own way - the author, apart from giving a title, never explains his paintings.
In 2017, the artist collaborated with the metal band Bell Witch - for the cover of their album he created a painting titled. "Essence of Freedom." With this he began a new chapter of his work - since then there have been more than thirty covers with Mariusz Lewandowski's paintings. Among the record publishers were such companies as Sony Music Entertainment, 20 Buck Spin, Transcending Obscurity Records. The artist's work has become more widely recognized and appreciated outside his home country, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Germany.
Lewandowski's works have also become an inspiration for the creator of the legendary and renowned Zero Skateboards brand, Jamie Thomas. In 2021, together they created a limited series of five skateboards, which quickly gained recognition among lovers of the sport.
