Maria Jolanta Gruza was born in 1954 in Częstochowa. Following family traditions as well as her interests, she began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she attended from 1973 to 1978. At the Faculty of Interior Design, she received a diploma in architectural design in the studio of Prof. Zbigniew Ihnatowicz. She also completed her painting studies in the studio of Prof. Romuald Ziemski. Since 1981, a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. She presents her works in both Polish and foreign galleries. Most of her works are in collections in Europe, America and Australia.
