Margarita Dyushko was born in 1992 in Minsk, Belarus. She graduated from the A.K. Glebov Minsk School of Fine Arts in 2012. She currently lives in Minsk, but is actively developing her artistic career outside Belarus due to censorship and the inability to present her work in her homeland. As the artist explains, "The naked form symbolizes the fragility and uniqueness of humanity, combining body and soul, material and spirituality. My work focuses on emotional intensity, gesture and color, rather than just repeating the form. I draw inspiration from 20th century expressionists such as kokoschka and nolde. My practice, rooted in early expressionism, responds to social and personal transformations, capturing contemporary Belarus through personal experience and everyday life. My works reflect both universal and local conflicts, from anecdotes from kindergarten to the voices of everyday life. They interweave social and personal issues, documenting a time and space where fear, hope and contradictions mix."
