Biography
Marek Radke was born in 1952 in Olsztyn, he spent his childhood and youth in Gdansk. In 1983 he moved to Finland and in 1984 to Germany where he still lives and works. From 1972 to 1977 he studied pedagogy at the University of Gdansk and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In addition, from 1991 to 1993 he was a Graphic Designer at the Siemens/Nixdorf Training Center in Frankfurt am Main. In 1992-2001, he participated in the "International plein-air workshops of artists using the language of geometry" organized by art historian Bożena Kowalska in Okuninka near Chelm, and later in Orońsko. The artist works mainly in painting, and since 2006 has also created installations in UV light.
Radke has had more than 95 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 200 group exhibitions in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Latvia, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tunisia, South Africa, Hungary and the USA.
