Maciej Rauch
Currently lives and works artistically in Warsaw. Works in the styles of magic realism and surrealism, painter, graphic designer, creator of installations, music videos and experimental music. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He received his diploma in 2012. Represented the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey (5th International Student Triennale, 2010). Scholarship recipient of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for the Creator of Culture (2017). Finalist of Hestia's Artistic Journey (2011), Finalist of the 2nd Pomeranian Art Triennale in the Painting category at the State Art Gallery in Sopot (2016). He was included in the national ranking of the best Polish contemporary artists Kompas Młodej Sztuki in 2022 and 2023. His latest, larger premiere exhibition, "Other Days/The Other Days," was on view at the Center for Contemporary Art at Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. He was awarded the audience prize for the most interesting exhibition of the entire series of exhibitions in the "Project Room 2021/2022" competition, organized by the CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. His selected paintings could be seen from November 17, 2023 to February 25, 2024 at the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw.His latest premiere solo exhibition "Mysterium Magiczne" could be seen in April 2024 (Art Pharmacy/WorldArtB Gallery, Warsaw).
At the same time, he is creating two series of oil paintings: "On the Other Side" and "Alien Boys." His paintings are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, and Poland, among others.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. He has received many awards and prizes.
