Łukasz Huculak, one of the most forward-thinking Polish painters.
Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture at the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, 2002. Employed at the academy since 2002; received his doctorate in 2009; since 2013 has been running a painting studio and heading the Interdepartmental Doctoral Studies.
Numerous scholarships, awards and prizes, including: Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, 2000, 2004; First Prize of the 19th Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting, Szczecin, 2002; honorable mention in the national competition of the Biennale of Painting "Bielska Jesień", 2004.
Participation in more than 50 solo exhibitions in Poland and the Czech Republic, Germany and the USA, including: "Object and Space," City Gallery, Wrocław, 2002; "Ökonomie der kunst," Museum of Photography in Görlitz (Museum der Fotografie Görlitz), Görlitz, Germany, 2011; "Hypotheses and Hypostases," City Art Gallery, Łódź; Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, Stalowa Wola; BWA Rzeszów - Art Exhibition Office, Rzeszów, 2012; "Bad Women," City Museum (Městské muzeum), Zlate Hory, Czech Republic, 2015; "Details/Spaces," State Art Gallery, Sopot, 2015; "Incantations," Nysa County Museum, Nysa, 2016.
