Lucjan Orzech
graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with a diploma with distinction, in 1976. He has exhibited his works in Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland and Canada. He received several awards in painting competitions in Tarnow, Katowice and Warsaw. He was also involved in art didactics at the Faculty of Art at the Pedagogical University, and received the title of professor in 1998.
The artist is also the author of stained glass and sacred polychromies in Bochnia, Łętowice near Wojnicz, Radzięcin in Roztocze, Trzebownisko near Rzeszów, Warsaw and also
in Reihenbrunn near St. Ingbert in Germany.
Lucjan Orzech's works are in the collections of: City Hall of Krakow, Nowa Huta Cultural Center, C. K. Norwid Cultural Center in Krakow, Social Welfare Home No. 25 in Krakow, Historical Museum of the City of Tarnów, Municipal Cultural Center in Debica, as well as in private collections in Poland, Germany and the USA.
