Leszek Żegalski (b. 1959) One of the most important representatives of the existential neorealism trend. He began his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, which he left for the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He studied under the direction of Jerzy Duda-Gracz. He received his diploma in 1984. During his studies, together with Piotr Naliwajko and Janusz Szypt, he founded the art group "Tercet puffed up." Together they made provocative manifestos in the magazine "Bengal" and mocked abstract art, betting on realistic painting, based on good workshop training. Leszek Zegalski participated in more than 350 exhibitions in Europe, the USA, Canada and Japan and in the most important art events, including: the BIAF Art Fair in Barcelona, the Art Fair in Basel and the annual figurative painting exhibition "Figuration Critique" at the Grand Palais in Paris.
