acrylic painting - landscape and abstraction. Krzysztof Chyży about his work: drawing First drawing remembered as the beginning of artistic (plastic) interests. My first means of expression. First technique and direction of further exploration. Home drawings and works that were created in art classes in elementary school. Drawing, so I believe, is the basis of all artistic activity. To master drawing is to give the imagination the right tool to create. Through drawing, I learned how to properly look at and transfer the world to paper. Good drawing? You have to forget that drawing is just lines.... It's density, pressure and different surfaces.
Watercolor My journey with watercolor at the beginning was done alone. I had no teachers. But slowly painting with water paints turned into watercolor. It's painting without a chance for changes and corrections. Professionalism in watercolor is created by controlling the intertwining of circumstances between paint and water. Watercolor in my life is related to architecture. Painting sketches made in art classes. Technique used to give architectural designs and complete assignments such as architectural history. Suitable for stopping the cityscape on paper. What, in my opinion, is important in watercolor? To choose the color for the water. Acrylic Oil painting is too slow for me. This is because of watercolor. That's why I associate oil with constant revisions. Nothing wrong with that. It's just that what's the point? I don't like to sit on a painting for a long time. For me it is a record of the moment, the transience of everyday life, the passing of our thoughts. Each amendment, successive repainting, especially after leaving the work for a long time is for me a cheat, adding already outdated thoughts and actions and impressions to the original project, idea and then important composition of my thoughts. The reason I like acrylic is that it has the possibilities of watercolor. Because I can combine the density of paint and its solubility in one work. To create contours with a haphazardly stopped pigment. Within the boundaries I set. In my works painted in acrylic with charcoal and graphite - drawing technique is an additional element of creation.
